Many Cubensis varieties are named after the locations they originate from. However in this case, PES Hawaiian (PESH) is a bit misleading. No cubensis are actually native to Hawaii but there was the company Pacifica Exotica Spora (PES). This company is renown for selling some of the first spores in the High Times magazine. They are also credited for another great cubensis PES Amazonian (PESA).
PESH is a fruit that would be hard to miss or not love! Its white stem is of medium density, but it does not grow the tallest. But, what it lacks in height it definitely makes up for in its cap. PESH mushrooms have a slightly wider cap that rip from their veil and flatten out. It also has a brown to yellow color cap with white flakes throughout.
The company PES sadly no longer exist. But this does not mean that their legacy has to die. Buy these spores and pay homage to these pioneers of the spore community!
